About

Newell raced his first World Cup in 2004 and was instantly addicted to the high energy events and fast pace of the World Cup Circuit.  A 12th place finish in the 2005 World Champs earned him a spot on the U.S. Ski Team and eventually a spot on the 2006 Olympic Team.
Newell has spent the last five years climbing the ranks in international competition. He has posted the best American results internationally - including the first U.S. podium in more than two decades. He ended the 2010 season taking the podium for the third time in his career at a World Cup in Norway. He knows what it will take to be the best in the world and he is training hard to get there.
